Sumaria Systems Wins NETCENTS-2 NetOps Small Business Task Order for Keesler AFB Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) Services

DANVERS, Mass. - Sumaria Systems, Inc., provider of information technology, engineering, and professional services, has won the NETCENTS-2 NetOps Small Business Task Order for Keesler Air Force Base (KAFB) Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) Services.

Sumaria is providing IM/IT Services for the U.S. Air Force, 81st Medical Group (81 MDG) at KAFB, Miss. The 81 MDG operates the Keesler Medical Treatment Facility (MTF), a 63-bed facility; and employs more than 1,700 military, civilian and contract staff with over 5,900 IT connected devices.

The 81 MDG operates a large data, voice, and video communications and network architecture that supports various users using wired and wireless technology. These architectures consist of standard Department of Defense (DoD) Health Affairs, Defense Health Agency (DHA), Air Force Automated Information Systems (AIS), commercial off-the-shelf systems (COTS), and locally developed/procured systems.

Sumaria is providing professional IT services to support sustainment, maintenance, technical guidance, and network security activities necessary to ensure efficient and effective operation of the 81st Medical Group IT infrastructure/architecture (hardware, software, network, video, wireless communications, and other data connections). Support includes the 81 MDG MTF, Dental Clinic, Mental Health Clinic, Student Health Clinic, Clinical Research Laboratory, Veterinarian Clinic, and the Armed Forces Veteran’s Home in Gulfport, Miss. Additional support requirements include providing access and connectivity to groups outside the 81 MDG, including the joint venture between 81 MDG and the Mississippi Health Care Information Network and the DoD TRICARE multi-market and various Veteran Affairs’ agreements.

"Sumaria is excited to support the 81 MDG at Keesler in a wide range of IM/IT services including program management, network and system administration, database management, web design, information assurance, help desk and hardware, and software and network support," stated Dian Tribout, Sumaria NETCENTS-2 NetOps Program Manager. "We are also providing systems planning, installation, testing and maintenance, including hardware and software upgrades; and are managing people, projects, processes, and technology to support existing operations and to improve current functionality."

The 81 MDG’s first and primary mission is medical readiness. It is responsible for deploying an Expeditionary Medical Support hospital with support staff when directed, and for managing the third largest mobility mission in the Air Force. Keesler MDG also serves as the Federal Coordinating Center for the National Disaster Medical System, the medical arm of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The Keesler IM/IT Task Order consists of a base period with four additional option periods. Sumaria’s NETCENTS-2 program is managed by the company’s Corporate Headquarters in Danvers, Mass.
